Sharing projects with guests

Updated

You can share any project with people outside your workspace using a share link. Guests do not need a Huddlekit account to view the project and leave feedback.

  1. Open the project you want to share.
  2. Click the Share button.
  3. Toggle the share link on.
  4. Copy the generated link and send it to your reviewers.

When creating a share link you can configure:

  • Allow comments — control whether guests can leave feedback or only view the project. When disabled, the shared view is read-only.
  • Expiration — optionally set an expiration date so the link stops working after a certain time.
  • Active/Inactive — deactivate a share link at any time to revoke access without deleting it.

How guest commenting works

When a guest opens a shared project and tries to leave a comment, they will be asked to introduce themselves:

  • Name (required) — displayed on their comments and replies.
  • Email (optional) — used for reply and mention notifications. If no email is provided, they can still comment but will not receive notifications.

Guest identity is remembered in their browser so they do not have to re-enter it on every visit.

Guests can only see public comments. Any comments marked as private by workspace members are hidden from guests entirely. This means your team can have internal discussions on the same project without guests seeing them.

You can create multiple share links for the same project with different settings. To manage them:

  1. Open the project and click Share.
  2. View all active and inactive share links.
  3. Deactivate or delete links you no longer need.
