Choosing a project type
From your workspace dashboard, click Create Project. You will see three project types to choose from. Each one is designed for a different kind of content.
Website
Best for public websites, landing pages, and marketing sites.
Huddlekit loads the live website so your team can browse and leave feedback directly on it. You just paste the URL — no installation required.
- Select Website.
- Enter the URL of the site you want to review.
- Give the project a name.
- Click Create.
Use this when the site is publicly accessible and does not require a login to view.
Media
Best for design mockups, documents, and video reviews.
Upload a file and annotate specific areas. Great for reviewing work that is not published on the web yet.
- Select Media.
- Drag and drop a file or click to browse. Supported formats:
- Images — JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF
- PDFs — any standard PDF document
- Videos — MP4, WebM, MOV
- Give the project a name.
- Click Create.
File size limits depend on your plan:
| File type | Starter | Pro | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| Images | 2 MB | 20 MB | 50 MB |
| PDFs | 5 MB | 50 MB | 100 MB |
| Videos | 10 MB | 100 MB | 500 MB |
Web App
Best for authenticated apps, gated dashboards, and dynamic web apps.
Unlike website projects, web app projects work by installing a small widget directly on your site. This is the right choice when your site requires a login, has user-specific content, or cannot be loaded by an external tool.
- Select Web App.
- Enter the URL where the widget will be hosted.
- Give the project a name.
- Click Create.
After creation, you will be shown setup instructions with your unique project key and guides for popular platforms. Once the widget is installed, your team can leave feedback directly inside the app.
Website vs. Web App — which should I choose?
| Website | Web App | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Huddlekit loads your site for you | You install a widget on your site |
| Requires installation | No | Yes |
| Works with login-protected pages | No | Yes |
| Works with dynamic/user-specific content | No | Yes |
| Best for | Public sites, landing pages | Dashboards, authenticated apps |
Project limits
The number of projects you can create depends on your plan. All project types (websites, media, and web apps) count toward the same limit. You can see your current usage on the workspace dashboard.
Next steps
